My Medicare advantage plan was no longer offered in my area last yr. After looking at all Medicare reward plans available in my area, UnitedHealthCare AARP MEDICARE Advantage Programme PPO was the highest ranked of all 27 plans in my area, so I did some research…

Here is what I like: I had a policy, every bit stated above, which was no longer offered in my area. I have this policy for iii years. What troubles me what is the program would only pay 50% of the total cost should I have to be in the hospital, add some more "esteemed" hospitals in my area, even though it was a PPO plan My electric current Medicare Advantage Plan with UHC AARP PPO allows me to go to that more esteemed hospital, though it is out of network.

UHC besides offers comprehensive dental with $1500 per year… Most advantage plans exercise non cover this, or they offer information technology as an additional feature to pay for UHC provides members, such as me, to purchase $forty worth of canonical medical devices and/or medication over-the-counter UHC provides me the ability to speak to a telehealth doctor through my iPad streaming at no copayment for me, and they use for five of the main services It would exist hard for me to envision anyone maxim anything negative about this program.

Worst worst customer service. Worst.. I could say it a billion times and would still non express the type of service recurve majority of time I call for assistance. CSR bulk of times volition Not comply with request for Supervisor. Volition laissez passer call to other reps. who seem to always say.. "How are y'all doing today?"

When I limited dissatisfaction they always answer "That is wonderful". My response is, "Are you a supervisor?" "NO I'm non." They say. Request supervisor AGAIN. Either left on agree for what feels like forever or plain told information technology volition be at to the lowest degree 1HOUR!

While on hold in that location are brief moments when it appears they are checking phone line to see if I am still holding. Current call timer is 59min 36sec. Listen you part a great deal of this fourth dimension is dealing with the CSR OR Registered Nurse who refuse to comply with request for Supervisor.

Merely made because they are no capable of handling request, or give any insight as to why problem is recurring. The WORST CS EVER. ON A REPEATED Footing...

IF I COULD Requite THEM LESS THAN 1 STAR. I would. Let me name the specific programme and product first: My experience is with AARP/Medicare Advantage Plan 2, HMO.

Mi Esposo and I have been with them for several years, and while not totally thrilled; nosotros institute the coverage acceptable.

Starting in 2019, I noticed them getting More than generous with frivolous 'extras' to our Basic Health Coverage (Like $twoscore dollars-worth of mail-guild generic Tums, and Maxi-pads, or cheap generic Aspirin) and at the same fourth dimension, getting cheap-as-hell paying for our MUCH needed prescriptions and bones coverage to our providers.

I found it harder, and HARDER, to find a specialist that was ACTUALLY CONTRACTED with this plan. Oh, don't become me incorrect! Their website is chock-full of specialists and providers listed!

It LOOKS like the nigh pop Insurance plan on earth. Simply when it comes right down to calling and making an engagement? Cipher. ZIP. NOPE.

"I'k sorry we no longer contract with this program...." is the most mutual refrain from a MULTITUDE of local doctors and specialists in my area in Key Arizona. This feels like a third-World health programme.

In January, 2021, my specialist of several years informed me they will "...no longer be contracting with this plan." And kicked me to the adjourn.

It took me, the patient, a full 25 hours of research and phoning, and more phoning doctors offices that were FALSELY listed as "welcoming new patients" on the AARP.UHC.com Website. Almost of them DID NOT ACCEPT this plan. That was in March, 2021.

By July vii, 2021, when trying to set upwards another appointment with this NEW specialist, they informed me "...I'm sad, we no longer contract with this Insurance Company or plan." I take lost TWO PROVIDERS IN Five MONTHS due to this lousy insurance company!

#one. There clearly is a trouble with this insurance company, and this program, to be losing so many providers similar this. #ii. Hey! Aren't I the **paying customer** to this insurance company that plays then fast and loose with health care professionals? This state of affairs is untenable.

This causes me, the patient, excessive WORK merely trying to find a specialist for my item wellness problem - IT IS Besides AFFECTING MY ACTUAL Health, preventing me from getting the care I demand; and adding extra burdens to my stress, pain, and fatigue from the sheer frustration of trying to TEACH AARP'S Medicare Advantage Plan 2 "Client Service" operators that the PROVIDER they see listed on their outdated, inaccurate provider list DOES NOT, afterward all, contract with them ANYMORE!

I should mention this as well, speaking of INACCURACY, or should nosotros telephone call it what information technology is: LYING. My original, long-time, Primary Intendance Doc retired from his field in 2019.

This stupid, inept, inaccurate, bureaucratic insurance visitor still has my 2-year retired PCP doctor listed on their website, at the same accost, and marked as "accepting new patients"!!

Although their Provider Listing volition never reflect it, this insurance company is losing providers past the herds... I wonder why that is? Well, in the world of business - and that's all the medical manufacture is after all - a big concern, PROVIDERS EXPECT TO BE PAID for the work they do.

In fact (and we won't go into the rightness or wrongness of Doctor's crazy high fees right here) Specialists, especially, look to BE PAID Amply. Apparently, the management and CEO'southward at AARP Medicare Advantage Plan 2 exercise not see information technology that way?

Information technology is apparent they care More well-nigh their Insurance Company'south bottom line PROFITS (And their cease-of-year bonuses) - than they do the many senior patients who pay them.

I sincerely warn anyone thinking of burdening themselves with this crummy plan: Don't be fooled by their bells & whistles and Mail-social club crap. They don't put their money and efforts where it matters most: YOUR MEDICAL COVERAGE..

Continually misplacing documentation which is needed to frontwards information to our local hospital for copayment. I have spoken with four different people and nothing is e'er done. Listen you this patient has been deceased since February 2021.

I call back they are trying to scam the hospital since they know there will be no repercussion. Not a very organized insurance company.

United Healthcare declined coverage for my hubby's inpatient physical rehabilitation. He had a total knee replacement. They wanted him to go abode and sit there alone Monday through Friday from half-dozen:30 a.thousand. to v:xxx p.m.

And then when I come home exhausted from work I tin beginning caring for him and the dog. They were going to dump him on my daughter. We all work full time. Our girl lives out of town. Why did UHC nix the regime standard Medicare full coverage? Outrageous.

No care for a person's health, safety, well being, just $$$$. Evil, irresponsible, greedy, mean, uncaring, selfish. This should be illegal.

Medicare Advantage is a nationwide SCAM....no 1 in DC reviews their behavior....people are sleeping at their desk in DC Medicare...

Medicare reward is perfect for people who never need to encounter a doctor or enter a hospital... I have Joe ** promising the delivered meals and more and it's all **.

Never would I recommend the AARP Supplement. The drug costs for me to refill my prescriptions if I utilize the United Healthcare plan are then loftier. I cannot employ the plan and am refilling them on my ain using Good Rx!!

Here are some differences: UH $160; Skillful Rx $26. UH$76; Good Rx $26. UH$seventy; Good Rx $23. UH$27; Adept Rx $17. We are only 3 months into 2021. Their answer is that this is because I haven't met my deductible. And so it's OK to overcharge? That shouldn't matter.

Also, even though my pharmacy is in the network, the computer program will not allow me cull them for comparison! It gives me 3 options of their choosing and that's all I can compare.

At that place is nil adept nigh this programme. I had Cigna last year and I'll be going back in 2022. What a mistake this was.

After having this insurance for a twelvemonth and after v months of visits every week, I just establish out that now I have a co-pay as of OCTOBER! So I now owe the last three months of co-pay. Why?

Information technology seems they say I e'er had a co-pay (even though I signed up because they did NOT have one) but they deferred it due to COVID back in May and reinstated information technology, in October. How nice is that to let everyone know EXCEPT the people that HAVE TO PAY Information technology!

Then I have called 2 days in a row and attempted to speak to their customer service reps that have such heavy accents I continuously had to enquire them what they said. I accept no patience for ignorance and lack of social skills.

They are fine for doctors visits, but be aware - if you ever need life saving treatment or long term care they will find whatever alibi to DENY your treatment.

My father suffered a stroke in 2019 and needed a long term care facility. He was with a tracheostomy hooked up to a breathing car, could not movement or speak, tubes coming out of every part of his body.

UHC AARP Medicare denied his doctors request to transfer to long term care because "he could breath on his own". He passed away one week afterwards.

I wish these people that so flippantly deny medical treatments would actually run across how their callousness affects people. Nosotros are non human being beings to them, just dollar signs.
